A real-life Jaguar Type 00 car appears for the first time on the streets of Paris during the 2025 fashion week. First unveiled at Miami Art Week 2024, the concept and non-production car drives around the French city, confirming that ‘any questions on if the car is real were soon dispelled,’ says Jaguar. The model faithfully follows the concept design, from the elongated bonnet to the fastback roofline and boat-tail proportions. The car manufacturer says that the Jaguar Type 00 car in Paris represents its return to the philosophy of founder Sir William Lyons. 

Its French Ultramarine paint is based on a pigment linked to French arts and culture since the Renaissance. Jaguar’s material team works with in-house paint specialists to develop the finish. The new paint includes a custom pigment with metallic elements to create a satin-like surface. Paris is the location of Jaguar’s new brand store in the Golden Triangle of the 8th arrondissement, connecting the manufacturer’s automotive work with the fashion industry. The Type 00 and the new store in Paris are part of Jaguar’s rebranding plans.

travertine stone and Kvadrat textiles for the interiors

The Jaguar Type 00 car in Paris features butterfly doors and a pantograph tailgate, which are native to the concept design. The interior includes three linear brass elements, with a central 3.2-meter spine supporting floating instrument panels and seats. The materials used include travertine stone and Kvadrat textiles. The non-production car comes with three totems made of brass, travertine, and alabaster. These totems are stored in a compartment accessed from the exterior. They can be placed in the center console to adjust lighting, sound, and graphics. 

For the exterior, the Jaguar Type 00 car in Paris flashes a flush upright front with the car manufacturer’s new typeface. There’s also a full-width taillight with horizontal graphics. For the rebranded design, Jaguar embeds brass ingots etched with its signature leaper into the design. These ingots deploy from a flush position to reveal rear-facing cameras. The overall design of the Type 00 car in Paris reflects Jaguar’s approach to electrifying their future models.
